Default Best tires for 18 inch wheels on 2019 ES 350

Taking delivery this week. Looking for quiet, soft ride with decent tread wear. Car has Bridgestone tires. Think I might want something different.

Pirelli p7 all season plus is the quietest tire on the market. If you want more comfort, get an h rated over v tire. Warranty is 70k vs Michelins 45k

Michelin Tours are the softest and quietest The p7 is obviously a harder tire if the warranty is 70k much harder
I rather have the better ride then longer wear

I too had Bridgestones on mine at new but knew from pass experience I did not want to live with them so at 350 miles I got them off sold on ebay 350.00 shipped to NY at 460.00 and paid 840.00 for the new tires
yes it cost me 490.00 but I am going to really enjoying this quiet smooth ride and the next 40k in my Car .
The Bridgestones were very aggressive I am not talking it to the track

Tirerack did a tire shootout and ranked the pirelli #1 in ride comfort and quietness. The tour a/s has no feedback and long term consumer testing on tire rack.com.

Can you link that? I can't find it.

I only see the Michelin Primacy MXM4 (OE on my F Sport) ranked 7 in their category Pirelli P7 ranked 4th.

edit - nevermind, found the P7 testing. Great job, Pirelli!

For some reason the Michelin premier a/s came out in 2014 and no one reviewed it! Here's the comparison.

After all my research on new tires to switch onto my new Lexus in place of the Bridgestone's, the dealership says they are not permitted to take off factory installed tires and they suggest I drive with the tires that are on the car until ready to replace. Has anyone else had this experience? Somehow I do not believe them and they just do not want to get into reimbursing me or trading in the factory installed tires.

A difficulty that a dealership runs into when performing what seems like a simple swap of wheels/tires between two
new cars is that the eventual owner of both cars do not get any tire related recall notices. You petitioned to have
Brand M put on your car and your OEM Brand B's move to another new car. 11 months later the M's on your car
get a recall but it is traced and mailed to the other new car owner. They dutifully trot out to check and what do you
know...they don't have M's but nice round B's. Meanwhile you never got a peep.

All the other scenarios involving pull-off's and tires that can't be resold as New and the cost of mounting/balancing
the retail cost tires adds up and you fault the dealer for being uncooperative in not eating all the expenses to make
such a simple transaction happen.

It all depends on the willingness of the dealer and its GM and Service Director. I paid them $140 for labor to swap the Duelers out for a set of Premier LTX from another Lexus.

yes for example my salesmen located my 2016 ES300h UL at a dealer in NC and we had it brought up to my dealer in VA I noticed in the pictures the car and bridgestones on it and The VA dealer had ES300h on their lot with the same wheel with michelins on it I noticed, so I said to the salesmen hey when my car comes up switch the wheels and tires to michelins for me. He said good call I see if we can do that for you and they did have them do it
and I drove it brand new with michelin tires home happy

Another issue with swapping the tires/wheels for those on another car is that, after the swap is done, the tire pressure monitoring system sensors will need to be reprogrammed on both cars.

My experience has been that, if a dealer realizes that they are going to have to do a swap to make a sale, they are more likely to be willing to do it. On the other hand, if they don't believe that getting the sale is going to be contingent on doing the switch, they will be less likely to want to cut into their profits by doing such a swap.
