My understanding is that it uses the seat sensor for the front passenger seat, and the door sensors for the rear, but with that said, I thought the ES didn't have S-Flow, so you learn something new every day...

I'm still not certain it does based on my search of the manual.
I figured it out. Something called S-FLOW. When it's on it gives priority to the front seats for climate control. I don't totally understand it but if I turn if off air starts flowing.
Can you tell us exactly where to locate this setting on an ES and how to get there?
It makes sense, if fuel economy is a priority on the hybrid, that this would be a hybrid feature. In your home, if you shut off the heating registers to rooms that are not occupied/in use, you will save marginally on air conditioning and heating costs. Similarly, in a car, if you shut off the flow of air to parts of the car that are not occupied, the AC system should have to work a bit less hard, and there should be some marginal savings in fuel economy.
If you do a Google search and ask "what is Lexus S flow" you'll find numerous posts from Club Lexus going back to 2013... Does not appear to be available on the ES 350 but several other models.

Illogical then because we have it on our 17 RX where fuel economy is no priority for sure. No big deal - I doubt it saves much of anything honestly.
