How to lock the door from outside while engine is still running
Like when you having a quick stop to grab your mails, throw away trash bags or just grab a quick beer, turning off and on the engine actually wearing it out faster and it's one of the the worst thing to do to ham your engine.
My 200x old car can do that, how to do this on the ES and please don't let me pull out the phone using the app, it's slow and unreliable.

Use your key fob, if you don't like the app But, then you're actually starting the vehicle 2x, instead of 1. That said, what are you worried about wearing out, the starter? It will probably outlive the rest of the car.

If you leave your car, turn it off. That isn't wearing anything out. even the old wives don't believe that tale any more... Besides, leaving an unattended fancy new vehicle running seems dangerous and just begging someone to smash a window and steal it.

No, there are much better ways to harm your engine. Starting a warm engine that still has oil in all of the wear points isn’t going to hurt anything. Thats why manufacturers can build start/stop technology into their cars.
Technology has moved well beyond this concern. Restarting doesn’t even waste fuel, anymore.

When we lived up North, I'd do the first two quick errands around town with the car locked, but running. In that circumstance, getting the car warm on the morning startup was beneficial.
The solution was move South, and get a car with new technology.

How about: open the driver side window, then from the outside, reach in to press the lock button. Window is still open so pull the window switch up. Since it is an 'auto-up' window, it should continue closing and you pull your arm out of the way. Use the mechanical key to get back in.
I have not done this yet so I do not know if it will work.
