ML audio system revision
#31
thank you , i will do more research on the audio system

The gist of it is the higher quality audio you play, the better the system sounds It will sound good play the radio or streaming Pandora/Youtube, but to experience its full glory you will want some high quality audio files.
Others stream Tidal, but it can be expensive. I just load songs on a flash drive.

Just add a sub amp, a sound processor with a couple of subs and you'll be set!
I added two Rockford 12" P3's, Rockford P1000X1bd 1,000 rms watts amp and audio control DQ-61 sound processor. I will soon be adding some sound deadening material to the entire trunk.

He said he feels the ML has TOO MUCH bass. How would adding a sub help that?

Too much bass? Simple solution, don't put the volume above 30, problem solved.

A question for Tidal users, after purchasing the monthly subscription, do you still pay for the songs or is it included in the subscription ?

I tried some CDs i had laying around the house and the quality was much better, maybe it was the low quality streaming files that were sounding bad. Im going to buy a usb drive and load files on there and try it that way.

I think you can download them at home, then play them from your phone in the car. I don't use Tidal so I would be wrong.
You can legally download music from about a dozen different places, just have to pay for it

Yes, I'm sure there are but Tidal doesn't offer that option. Also, I'm sure you have to pay those sites for each song or album.

I Googled "Tidal download" and there were sites that seem to describe ways to download music files. I didn't dig deeper because I'm not ready to do it yet. Ultimately, I would like to copy the lossless music files to a USB flash drive.

Can you download it to your phone to use in an offline mode or something? Like with Pandora or Netflix you can download music/shows to play them later through the app without wifi or cell signal.

Yes you can download to an iPhone or Android in lossless format (hi-fi setting). You can also download the MQA versions if available by downloading using the MASTERS setting. Once you have downloaded the songs to your phone you can go offline and then the songs are played directly from your phone. I've been doing this for close to 5 years now.
