Mobile Phone Navigation
Any owners still opt toward using a third party mobile app or gps device instead of the built in Nav or Apple/Android auto?
If yes, how do you mount your phone?

Why would you mount it anywhere? Plug it in and use Waze or Google maps on the display.

I usually put my phone in the center console box. There's a space in the front just below the lid that you can route the wire through. One annoyance is that if the wire touches the touch pad, it inhibits the usage of the touch pad. I haven't yet come up with a good way to route the wire so it's out of the way. Also there's a slot in the compartment with the USB port for you to put your phone.

I, for example, prefer Intrix for my commute and Copilot GPS for my navigation to unfamiliar locations.
Given the expense of the built in Nav or waiting for the post October Es350 that matches my needs- including Android Auto, I am wondering if after all that if I wont end up using my phone anyway. I am curious if others have already faced similar circumstances and are using their phones. If so, how are they mounting them....

I think most just use the front cup holder. No muss no fuss...That's where mine goes. Other ways either block the display or the A/C and heater vents... BTW there are numerous threads on phone mounts...
