Default Problems and solutions you have had with your 2019 ES

Scattered all over this forum are problems and solutions people have had with their 2019 ES.
I just read that the F-sport badge has fallen off of some owner's steering wheels.
I would like to compile a list of problems that owners have had and the solutions they have found.
The 2019 model year has essentially ended, so I, and I hope many, are interested in problem solutions for the future.

Edit: I have deleted my lengthy text, and have changed my post to the summary format that was suggested by clqw two posts below.

Problem: Against a curb, I scraped the front right wheel rim and the plastic bumper just in front of the tire.
Solution: I did my own spray touchup paint on the bumper. It was very labor intensive to get a nice blend. I had the Lexus Dealer repair the "rash" on my wheel.

Please post any problems you have had. Thanks

I think you should do a summary of all our problems and/or solutions and just include them in one post. Like this

Problem: Rear passenger speakers not loud enough, unable to fade sound
Solution: Dealer replacing radio amplifier. Part number 86280-06232

I like your summary format. I hope we can get many members to contribute.

I think you'll see a very short list in this post... I've had ZERO issues... One year old vehicle... Some features that I'd change but no problems.

I have driven a Lexus since 1995. My ES is my 3rd one. I totally agree that they have great reliability. Very often they are listed at the top of published reliability ratings.
But there are a lot of problems mentioned in the forums, although this probably accounts for a small percentage of owners.
Also, if this thread survives, with time more problems will arise.

May I suggest your post:

Problem: None.
Solution: Took a nap.

Problem: Two small dents in the rail above the driver's door.
Solution: Paintless Dent Repair

Ten days (!) after leasing my 2019 ES 350, the Lexus was under a high quality cover in my driveway when my gardeners accidentally bonked the rail above the driver's door with the back end of the gas powered string trimmer. Thankfully, the cover protected the paint itself from any damage but the impact left two small oval dents - 2.5" x 1.5" and 1.5" x 1". I was very upset that my new baby was no longer "perfect". Of course, the dents were right where I'd have to see them every time I got into my beautiful new car! I first tried the "Heat gun and freeze spray" method you see on Youtube. No luck after ten attempts with various amounts of heat, time, spray, etc.

I then bought one of those adhesive dent pullers you see in the ads on Facebook but after watching a number of videos about how to use it, I realized that since I had no experience with it I might actually make the damage worse or harder to repair properly by a professional. I looked up "Paintless Dent Repair" on Yelp and chose someone local to me in the San Fernando Valley who had sixty five star reviews. He came to my house, quoted a very reasonable price and after an hour and a half both dents were virtually gone!! I'm very happy with the result and no longer have to avert my eyes every time I get into my gorgeous Lexus!

The person I hired is Lee at
Dent Ding King (818) 945-0914. I am not associated with him in any way except as a very happy customer.

Problem: moonroof Wind Noise/Air Leak at 8K
Solution: None Since I shipped the car out of the United States, and the stupid dealership doesn't accept imported car.

Does anyone facing the same issue?

How much did the dealer charge to fix the curb rash? Or was it free?

Well, when I was buying my F-sport, I took a good look at the 19" wheels and low profile tires. So I splurged and bought the Lexus Premium Wheel and Tire warranty. The warranty covers minor damage such as curb rash.

Meanwhile, my daughter also got some curb rash on her IS wheel. It cost her $125 to have a local independent fix it. There seems to be a number of places that fix wheels these days.

BTW, both repairs were done with an excellent result.

Isn't it great! I always used to say about my 1997 ES and 2004 ES that the best feature is RELIABILITY. I hope and expect to say the same thing about my 2019 ES.

Thanks!

Now, who was the person who put "Folding Power Mirrors" in the circular file?
