350 F Sport Question (Sports+)
This might be a stupid question guys but can we add the sports + after the fact? I bought a used 350 f sport. It doesn’t come with the sports + option. Is that something that can added on after the fact? Also what’s the main difference between sport and sport +. Sorry for the stupid question once again and thanks in advance to whoever will reply.

The +comes with the avs suspension which I presume yours doesn't have. Same for mine and I actually opted for the one WITHOUT it due to concerns over reliabilty as the system ages. My understanding of the + mode is it tightens up handling, suspension, steering etc. Mine feels just fine in Sport mode which changes the shift points and throttle response.

You've said this many times across several threads, and I wonder what presumptive facts lead you to this opinion?
As a kid, I remember a neighbor saying "(car) air conditioning is just one more thing to break down."

Maybe just me but Im thinking of air suspension in many Lincoln products which I know were very costly to repair. Im not drag racing or driving on any tracks so no need for it FOR ME. My ES is my daily driver in plenty of stop and go traffic. I test drove one with avs and thats how I decided I didn't need it.

No mystery to me. What about the electronics that control the system. Like we don't have enough already😣

IMO there is a bigger difference going from sport to sport + than from eco to sport. The steering and handling tighten up considerably and acceleration is even more responsive.

Unfortunately, regardless of what mode you're in, she is still slow compared to other sedans. With a 0-60 time of 6.6 seconds on a good day, I honestly don't think it matters what mode you're in. We won't arrive first but we will get there in style!

And that's why we bought the ES. And as far as the FSport is concerned, I bought that not to race it but preferred the cosmetics of it including the bigger wheels, seats, wood trim delete and the fancier cluster.

Follow up question. Aside from mikemu30’s reasoning and the cost, what made you guys pick the option without the avs. Thanks.

It wasn't included in the vehicle I wanted. When I decided to purchase a Lexus my must-haves were exterior & interior color, triple beam headlights, and F-Sport. Everything else I could do without. I even had plans to upgrade the entire sound system but the ML system was outstanding so I only added subwoofers. My local dealership was only able to find 1 vehicle matching what I wanted within a 100-mile radius. I decided to pull the trigger since I'm not a very patient man.
