Default Red Interior Help

Guys, I have a little indentation on my backseat from using a car seat. I have seen some youtube videos that the fix for this is to use a heat gun. Since this is red is there a chance that it will change color? Anyone here done any steam cleaning on the leather seats that could say if the color held out? Thanks guys.

Hmm, tough to say if you could use a heat gun. I'd almost be worried about melting the seats. The F-Sport seats aren't leather, rather they are NuLuxe; a synthetic material.

You might try a hair dryer on low but no way to use a heat gun. You could melt the seats or start a fire... Otherwise, usually these small indentations go away after a short time...

Not certain about the synthetic Nuluxe material, but in my experience, (with Leather seats) lightly rubbing / massaging in some leather conditioner, makes these temporary indentations go away.

Time and warming the interior, even just by the sun, will likely help also.

Did you place the car seat directly on the seat without any type of car seat cover or mat? I use a seat cover that helps distribute the weight and protect the seat, so far the back seat still looks new.

I watched this video with interest as my 2019 ES rear arm rest has left a small dent in the leather. The U.K. ES Takumi arm rest has all the electronic goodies in it (temp, recline, multimedia, rear blind) and so weighs a tonne. The tip of the arm rest rests on the seat itself and has left a shallow indentation across the full width of the arm. It now rests on a micro fibre towel and much of the indentation has naturally disappeared. Still seems like a design flaw to have the tip of the weighty arm rest sitting on the leather. I’ve noticed the non-electronic arm rests also rest on the leather but the underside of the arm rest is smooth and flush so doesn’t leave a mark. Mine has a bar / ridge along the tip of the underside and it’s this that was resting on the leather.

I bought the car used. I had that already. I do have a car sear cover placed for my own car seat. Thanks for the tip.

There's a lot more of this video in youtube. Feel free to check them out. Are you planning on doing the same thing? I talked with Lexus and they told me that it should be fine. I am just hesitant to pull the trigger. Please keep us updated if you do. Thanks.
