Default What is this?

Found it in the trunk of my ES350 after removing all the carpet and panels. Looks like a pull, but cannot find from where.

Any ideas?

TIA,
Bill

I have the same part sitting on my office desk because I couldn't figure out where it belonged.

I think its part of the cargo net which I have but don't use because it's more of an annoyance going into the trunk.

I don't see that part on my cargo net or anywhere else in the trunk.

It somehow slips over the netting to serve some sill purpose. I've seen it in pictures. Pretty useless so don't worry about it.

The hook end slips over the rear net and the inside catch goes to the front netting. That way it holds the two sides together in a "folder" type look.

...never used mine since I pulled the net out completely and put in a dark gray laundry basket. I still wish they had large hooks on the sides of the trunk for grocery bags.

Do you have more room in the laundry basket for mine as well?

And the laundry basket doesn't block access to the rest of the trunk as well.

I think the cargo net is very handy. I carry a small tire compressor, various microfiber towels, leather cleaner & conditioner, glass cleaner, tire shine, wheel duster, the only thing missing is the kitchen sink.

I like to touch her up when I get some spare time while running errands. Even with all those items in the cargo net, there is still plenty of room for groceries between it and the subs.

After a little more searching I did find that part in the zippered storage bag for the cargo net. It does clip on to hold the top of the cargo net together and closed. BTW, I also like the cargo net!

That's actually a good use of the net I never thought of. I have plenty of cleaning supplies in a separate bag in the trunk along with other crap. I may try your solution. I got a flat the other morning and had to empty a lot of stuff from the trunk to get to the spare

Thanks to everyone for their posts. Sounds like a largely useless item!
