Default 2019 ES350 Just finished an 900mi drive

We've had an ES in the family going back to a 1991 ES250. I think that we've driven every iteration of the ES since it was introduced. I have to say the '19 ES350 has to be the best version of the ES to date. Our '16 was a disappointment on the road, too much of a mushmbile. The '19 was just a pleasure to drive over the long distance.

We did 850mi from Hartford, CT to Asheville, NC in 2 days, 425mi/day. We kept the car in Sport mode and got about 29mpg cruising between 70-80. The car handled so much better than the '16. The drive went quickly with no fatigue.

My observations- Likes/Dislikes:
Android Auto - I want it. I had my phone on a NATO magnetic mount (mounted on the trim/bezel of the screen area) to the right of the screen and that worked OK.
USB ports - I don't like not being able to close the cover with something plugged in
It would be nice if the car had an adjustable thigh support built into the seat. Most cars don't have this, my Boxster does and I love it.
Handling, Acceleration, driver comfort all excellent - I had it in Sport mode.
Gas Mileage was about the same as the '16 - we got about 29mpg.
I definitely DO NOT miss the "Stop for Coffee" warning that the '16 had.
I did not use the Lexus App, instead, I ran streaming from my phone's AA App
I found TouchPad a bit awkward and so far I think I preferred the joystick in the '16. We'll see how I adjust to it.
The "need service" notification can still be turned off by the steering wheel menu system. I don't miss the old hold ign switch and push odo x times.

You can close the cover over the USB ports with a USB drive plugged in if you choose a low-profile drive like this one, which works perfectly. I use it for FLAC and mp3 music I have downloaded. Click on
AMAZON AMAZON
for details and purchase information.

Realy? I'm surprised it didn't show up in either leg of the trip.

Did it when I was driving “erratic” and suggested that I take a break.

Did you have to repartition the stick for use in the '19. As I recall, I had to do this in the '16 because the stick needed be in FAT32

No, I had to do nothing but upload the music files to the drive and plug it in. I used the drive as it was delivered by
Amazon Amazon

I'll have to play with it. I usually keep the LKA on all the time, but not the cruise
