Default Subwoofer Install

Hey I was thinking about installing a subwoofer in my ES, but I was unsure about how the wiring would work since it's a factory head unit. If anyone has installed one already, can you post a picture of your setup? Thanks.

Not much to it since our vehicles have a stock sub, simply tap into that line for a signal. The biggest annoyance will be sub feedback due to the ANC. I found a way around it by tapping 3 times on the tilt-up button for the sunroof. The vehicle will think the cabin is open and deactivate ANC.

Below is my setup:

1. Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000X1bd mono amplifier that pumps out a whopping 1,000 Watts RMS into a 1-Ohm load.
2. The P3-2X12 is a dual P3 12" vented enclosure with 1200 Watts RMS power handling wired to a 1-Ohm load
3. AudioControl DQ-61 DSP (digital signal processor)
4. Applied sound deadening material in the trunk and front doors
5. Rockford Fosgate P3G-12 Grille

The amp and DSP fit perfectly on each side. Made sure to add extra cable length in order to continue to use the storage area below it. Neither overheats even while covered with the carpet.

Default amp inputs

Hey there,
apologies for replying on an old thread but I can't find anyone else who did something similar to what I am trying to do. How did you get your amplifier outputs from the factory system? I have a 2022 ES 300h with the mark levinson system upgrade and am trying to add a sub to it as the deep bass is just not there. I hooked in directly to the subwoofer output on the rear deck and connected it to the low level input on my amp but my sub just clips like crazy whenever there is low bass.

Thanks for replying. Preferablly i'd like to not open my dash to get to the speaker wiring. I found the amp under the driver seat where I can hook right into the cables that come from the head unit but not sure which pins are for the subwoofer. Any chance anyone knows which pins those are?
