Default Largest Gas Fill?

I was able to get 15.3 gallons into mine last week? What is the record?

From empty to full is stated as 15.9, so you pretty much bottomed-out that one.

I've never taken more than 13 or so gal.

The recommendation used to be that you should never let the gas tank get too close to empty because dirt sinks to the bottom of the tank over time and you can have it get into the injectors if you start to pump fuel at the bottom of the tank. With modern filters, I don't know if that can still happen.

Fuel also keeps the pump cool. Not sure what is accomplished by setting a fill record?? I generally fill at 1/2.

13.414 gallons...and I felt like I was pushing my luck

Bingo! And to make matters worse, the newest fuel tanks permanently mold the fuel pump into place rather than installing it after the fact. Meaning that if/when someone burns up a fuel pump, they might be looking at replacing the entire assembly.

Not a good practice to run so low on fuel. I don't know about the dirt at the bottom either but don't want to find out the hard way... Never below 1/4 and always top tier fuel...

I used Amoco for decades, then it became BP. In Florida most BP stations became Marathon, which I found inferior on my prior car.

Shell regular works nicely on the F Sport I got in Oct '18.
