Alexa
No matter what I try I cannot get Alexa to work in my 2019 ES 350. Can someone give me concise, step by step instructions on how to get it to work in the car?
I have Lexus + Alexa installed on the phone. Dealer tech agent unavailable for help...

1. Install Lexus+Alexa app on smartphone.
2. Log into Amazon account on app.
3. Start Enform app suite 2.0 on phone.
4. Start Amazon+Alexa app on smartphone if it isn’t still loaded from step above.
5. Start Alexa app in car.
... now here is the rub, I don’t recall how to ask the Alexa assistant to perform a function. I would try to use the Alexa keyword after the steps above but that is just a guess on my part. Perhaps a regular user could help correct my process and or offer this final piece?

The first from the Lexus Drivers web site is HOW-TO SET UP LEXUS + ALEXA. There's a PRO TIP at around the 1:11 video time that states Lexus+Alexa uses your phone's microphone to listen for the "Alexa" wake word. The feature will not work if your phone's microphone is blocked.
The second is a Northside Lexus's Melissa O'Connell's Tech Tip Tuesday video

I use the Alexa integration all the time, especially to select and listen to music streamed via Amazon Music. I also like the ability to have Alexa find a destination and send it to the Lexus navigation system, which is much easier than using the built-in voice commands ("Alexa, navigate to Chick-fil-A"). Or, checking on home automation ("Alexa, is the garage door closed?"). Here's what works for me. Note, I use an iPhone.
Make sure you have the permissions set on the Lexus+Alexa app (Location Always, Microphone, Cellular Data).
Before starting the car, launch the "Lexus+Alexa" app on your phone and then swipe it closed. Now start the car, and wait for the Enform app to launch (which it should do automatically). Then start the Lexus+Alexa app on the car (or use voice command "Alexa"). The Lexus+Alexa app should launch automatically on your phone, and you should see the "microphone" icon up in the corner of your phone's home screen. Alexa should now respond to voice commands.
This works for me pretty consistently. I've also found that the app can crash, and that receiving phone calls through the infotainment system will often cause Alexa to disconnect. In that case, bringing the app up on the phone, swiping it away, and relaunching through the car usually reconnects.
Hope this helps.
