Question F Sport with AVS: Drive mode question: Sport + plus mode

Is there anyway we can "hack" the system to keep the Sport + plus mode if your F Sport equipped with Adaptive Variable Suspension - AVS (or Sport mode on all other ES) on all the time, even after car shut off, everytime you turn off the card and turn back on, car defaults back to normal mode, it sucks.

And, custom mode, useless, car won't keep this mode once you turn it off either, so I don't see any point, custom mode can't reach the stiffness and quick of Sport + plus mode, so it basically goes anywhere between from Eco to Sport, so the only time you want custom mode maybe when you want the drive of Sport mode with Eco-A/C LOL

Probably not due to CAFE standards and other things I suspect.

I am used to being able to set things like this on the german cars I've been driving for the past decade so I looked into it when I picked up my 2020 f sport, talked with the dealership, explored the computer with a buddy at his tuner garage... came up empty and somewhat disappointed. For me, sport+ is a dramatic change in driving dynamics for the car and my preferred setting. I just succumbed to the fact that its not the end of the world to tab the dial twice when I get into the car but it would have been convenient to be able to lock in that mode.

Ironically, I can attest that eco mode will stay active between ignition and lock/unlock events, but not any other custom drive mode settings.

It's because of EPA ratings. The EPA mileage rating has to be done for the most aggressive (worst mpg) mode that the car can start in. So if Lexus allowed the car to start in Sport mode, then the posted mileage would have to be for Sport mode. So the mileage posted is for testing in Normal mode, so that's why the car can only start in Eco or Normal mode. Be thankful they didn't do the EPA testing in Eco, or the car would start out in Eco mode every time!

Facts all of the way around. My 18 GS F sport, 13 LS F Sport and 20 ES F Sport all behave the same. The two twists of the dial aren't too much of a nuisance. I'm just happy I was able to get my hands on the ES with AVS. Huge difference from non AVS.

Such a B.S why can't they just put a warning message if you leave the car at Sport or Sport +, when u turn on the car, it shows you those warning messages or disclaimers, end of debate, come on...

Those EPA mileage rating always comes with disclaimer anyway such as highway or city conditions, speed etc... why can't just let us customize our ... own thing

My GS cannot. Is yours a US spec and what year is it?
