Hi guys was wondering if anybody else had experienced this issue with their 2019 ES350 Fsport where only if the sunroof is open there is a clunking sound coming from the rear of the car? It’s super annoying and any input if you have had this problem would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think you're experiencing air reverberation. Try cracking one or both of the rear windows a bit and see if this reduces the sound...

Agreed. Very common issue when only the sunroof is open and traveling at anything above city speeds. Every car I can recall with a sunroof has done this, certainly every Lexus since my 2004 RX. The sunroof allows more air into the car than the normal vents can expel when driving at higher speeds. This may be worse with premium cars as the seals may be thicker to create improved sound deadening.

The clunking sound when the sunroof is open is only over bumps. Not wind or circulation related.

You didn't mention that it was related to bumps so there may be a mechanical fault...

Ah - completely different issue then. I have not noticed this - but to be fair I think I have only driven this vehicle once with "just the sunroof open" so I'm not the best one to respond now knowing it isn't the air buffeting issue. Thanks for the clarification.

it could be a loose nut in the car.

that sounds like there is an issue with the sunroof tracks Lexus has been known to have this issue with there sunroof I had the same problem with my 2014 GS
same sunroof designed
