5% is what I put on all of my vehicles since I live in Cali and IMO looks the best.

I'm thinking about 20% on the rear and back windows. Keep the front and windshield as it. Not sure 20% is too dark, I don't want too dark or too bright. Still not decide yet, 20% or 25%.

I just got my ES back today. I had to wait 2 months for this tint shop, apparently he’s one of the best around the area. I basically told him to use his judgment, and he picked 40% up front and 30 rear. All ceramic tint.

My ES300H did not have a coating on the windows. The same tint guy I have been using for 30 years did it. I went with 35% on all sides and 20% on the Rear. Nebula Grey Pearl.

Tinted my 2020 F Sport last week with XPEL Prime XR Ceramic. I decided on 15% on side windows and rear windshield, nothing on front windshield. Exterior is Atomic Silver, Interior is black. I live in the sunny south and besides looking much better, it is so much cooler inside. Before/after photos:

Does anyone have the spec sheet which details the FACTORY tint for the 2021 ES? The factory tint for my 2014 IS was at 70% on the front/rear side windows. If the 2021 ES is at 70% on the sides I want to get 50% on the front sides and 35% on the rear sides (which will give me an additive 35% on the front sides and 25% on the rear sides).

Thanks
Had the four side windows and rear window tinted at 25%. If your night vision is average, the 25% tint will not be a problem. I like this level of tint better than the 37% tint on previous cars.

Default %UV rays through double pane front glass?

Anyone know the % of UV rays through the ESUL double pane front glass? I'm trying to decide to tint or not, to reduce harmful UV rays for driver and front passenger. The windshield, which is laminated glass blocks 98-99% harmful UV rays, so are the front side windows also "laminated" ?

Assuming later than 2019 year Ultra Luxury models have the same front window glass as the 2019 year, the lower rear corner of the front windows is badged with AGC [automotive] Lamisafe". (I added the [automotive] so one can find the right AGC division when searching for details.) Per the Technical information tab for Laminated Glass Lamisafe, the glass:

Laminated glass totally blocks ultraviolet (UV) rays passing through the glass.
Note: I can't get a direct link to the Technical information page so you'll need to manually navigate to it using the "Technical information" tab/menu item located at the bottom of the above linked web page.

In my brief searching I didn't see anything resembling independent testing to verifier the manufacture's claim; however, if the claim isn't close to factually true, I assume someone somewhere would probably have filed a "false advertising" legal proceeding against the company.
