Default Head restraint

Just purchased a 2021 Lexus ES 350 Ultra. I like everything about this car except the head restraint, which pushes my head so far forward that I am experiencing upper back and neck pain. Has anyone experienced this problem and, if so, would you please offer suggestions as to how to alleviate this problem? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Opening and reading the pertinent page of the owner's manual usually helps...

Interesting. This feature doesn't exist on 2019 ES300H. Lucky for me it doesn't bother my neck or back without it.

I did read the manual and spoke with the rep at the Lexus dealership; the 2021 Lexus ES 350 Ultra does not have the feature which allows the head restraint to move forward and backward. It moves only up and down. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like you're out of luck as my 2019 UL ES350 is the same - no forward/backward adjustment. You can always just take it out...

I have a similar issue with the headrest on my 2020 F Sport. They move forward and back, but the furthest back position still is too far forward. I’ve had to tweak the recline position of my seat to try to compensate for it.

This is worse than no folding mirrors

Indeed, the head restraint has been a source of discomfort and frustration every time I drive my new Lexus. I've tried tilting the seat back but the restraint still pushes my neck too far forward. I've tried neck bolsters but they are too big. I've just ordered a product called "Travel Buddy" https://www.travelbuddyposture.com/ which I hope will bring my torso more forward in a manner that is supportive to my entire back. I'm surprised that the manufacturers do not make these restraints in a manner that will be adjustable to accommodate drivers of all heights. I was told that Lexus use Drs. to help with the design. In general, car manufacturers need individuals who are expert at body mechanics, such a chiropractors or muscle therapists, to help with the design of car seats and head restraints.

Another alternative is to find out the last year that Lexus made adjustable restraints and buy one for your car... Check with Lee down in South Florida. He posted the manual photo.

Mine is a '19 F Sport and the headrest is horizontally adjustable.

The mirrors don't fold though. ;(

Hello Lee - Someone suggested I inquire with you about a different Lexus Head Restraint that does adjust back and forth. Is it possible to use a different Lexus head restraint in my new ES 350 Ultra without ruining the warranty and, if so, could you recommend one that I could possibly use? Thank you.
