ES 350 Ultra Luxury Driver Seat--Ouch!

Incidentally, I’ll be checking the new MY 2025 when it’s unveiled. One of the non-negotiable items will be softer, more comfortable, Volvo-like seats. If the seats are the same as the ones in my 2021, it will nix any hope of a new purchase.

I think what happens is the foam wears out after 6 months. Both my 2021 ESes felt great when I drove them home and shortly after. But after 6 months, a wavyness develops on the seat bottom, and the foam underneath seems to flatten & compress creating the "hard bar" effect underneath. it's fine for short commutes but past 30 min it gets very hard and creates pressure points on the bum. Others have pointed this out for the luxury seats as well.
I would think that even the cheapest cars out there have sear foam that lasts more than six months! Is the waviness you are seeing actually the foam or the seat covering (Nulux or leather)? Those materials can stretch over time and could get wavy or wrinkled. I just have a hard time imagining that that block of foam can deteriorate that fast. If it did, that should be a warranty claim for a defective product. (The covering, on the other hand, would probably be deemed normal wear and tear).

any new thoughts on this? My 6th Gen ES 300h just got totaled, so deciding whether to get a 7th gen similar ES300h. BUt I dont want firmer/ uncomfortable seats. Does it make a difference if one avoids the heated/ventilated seats or is that mechanism not a factor? how much of a factor is the seat extender?
thanks
