Default ES 350 price in 2021 feb

Hi everyone, I am new to the Lexus Club. I am considering purchasing a base model ES 350 with a premium package, the MSRP of the cars in the dealership are around the 45300~46000 range. Just wondering what's the average percent off before title tax and registration? I live in DC area, so I could go to either MD or VA.
Thanks a lot.

New car sales have been robust lately, which will make negotiating a really special deal, could be difficult. You might be able to get 6 or 7% off and I think one their "best" offers now is 1% finance for 60 months.

Dealers are always looking to cut deals on cars that have been on the lot for months.

Covid has thrown in a wrinkle into your question with supply and demand but the good news for you where you are located there are many many dealerships. Based on other members purchase price 10% off being a good deal and 15% a really good deal. As mentioned above depends on their inventory. Be willing to walk for anything less than 10% off. There is a dealer in your area that will take that deal. Give them your name and number and say as you are leaving when you want a sale give me a call for my price. I have had them stop me when negotiating different cars when I stand up to leave, at the door, at my car and giving a call five minutes down the road.

Quick question, does the 6~7% off includes the 1500~2500 "Lexus cash" already?

Ok, that sounds like a solid negotiation strategy. Thanks a lot!

I heard this line on one of my favorite TV shows and it lines up "the most powerful tool in any negotiation is demonstrating your willingness to walk away."

works for anything in life pretty much. it stuck with me.

It's true. I bought my ES in Dec 18 when the redesign was first released. Was in there a month or so earlier - gave them the number I was willing to pay, they said no and I walked away. They called me back a month or so later and I drove the car home the next day.

I just bought a 300h on 2/15 so this is apples to oranges comparision but it can give you some insight on pricing. My car was MSRP'd at $52,225 and was able to get $4000 off MSRP + $2000 rebate + $1000 off for financing the vehicle thru Lexus Financial. Hope this helps.

It all depends on where you live and inventory. I live in metro NY and getting 10% before rebates was incredibly difficult. As long you make an educated purchase and are happy with the numbers, then that should be good enough. There is no way everyone is walking into a dealer and getting 15% off all the time with rebates. And the stories of people emailing 100 dealers and waiting for their emails to fight each other on to the lowest price is exceedingly rare or just full of BS. More often than not you will have dealers who will walk just as you have the right to do so. It's a business and everyone has to eat, many dealers will not beg or be at your feet for a sale when they can sell to the next guy for 5% off.
