There have been issues with this feature since it's inception. I've had problems since 2018 with my 2019 UL ES. Talking to Lexus customer service is useless as well as the "tech" guy at the dealer. I still have to sign in each time I attempt to use the online start procedure. Yours is just another glitch they should solve but don't hold your breath waiting... Although it's understandable that problems will arise with electronic systems, it's not understandable that they can't be resolved or that one can obtain good, solid, factual information from the manufacturer.

I haven't had any issues at all. Ever since they updated the app where a PIN is no longer required there isn't any distinguishable difference when using the watch or phone. I would suggest uninstalling the app on both devices, restart your watch, and hard reset your phone. Also, ensure phone devices are on the most current firmware.

Hold tight. Yesterday making it home from work in the Honda pull up open the garage door just to see if it works i open the APP, on the watch and the car did start BUT the keys to the 350 was upstairs and away from the car. So i tried shutting the car off it wouldn't turn off. I tried opening the door thinking it would shut off Nope I had to run up and get the key to turn the car off. So not sure if the watch is a good thing or not

I mainly use my Apple watch to remote start the vehicle in the summer when I know the cabin is hot. By doing this when I arrive at the vehicle the cabin is cool and I don't have to put up with a hot cabin.

Unlike Tesla and some BMW vehicles, you can't use your phone as a replacement for the key. The Lexus app is mainly used for remote start, lock/unlock the vehicle, guest driver settings, and GPS location. While using the Apple watch you only have the ability to start/stop the vehicle, lock/unlock and turn on hazard lights.

^Yeah I would just use the app as a cool party trick. Would be nice if we can have tech in our phones like NFC or apple pay to just walk up to the car and open and start it without the need of a key fob. i think Tesla does it.
I hate carrying extra things. i got rid of my wallet 2 years ago and i'm liberated! transitioned into a phone case wallet, then now just a bare phone case. I use apple pay for 99% of things and when I DO need to take a card with me, I have a slim wallet in the center console with two cards and my DL. turns out i rarely even have to take that out. So now if I can only get rid of my keys! one day in the future we'll look back on these primitive times of carrying around a bunch of heavy metal and bulky objects in our pockets so we can open stuff.

Not so fast! My Apple watch is also enabled with LTE but there is a major quirk with the app. It will ONLY work with your Lexus that is identified as the "Default" on the drivers.lexus.com website. If my RX is set to the default, it doesn't give me the option to select the ES. This is a major failure with the app that completely neuters it for the non-default vehicle. If anyone has found a way to select an "alternate" vehicle please do enlighten me but until that occurs the watch app is of little value to me with respect to accessing remote features of my ES.
