Just wondering if you are considering trading in your current ES.

WHY really - most of our cars are barely broken in so unless you're looking to burn $, there's not much reason to do this so soon.

For now, I am thinking I'd lease another ES in 2024... I would opt for the sunlit green luxury pack w/ triple beam (if i can find it) or if it exists, ES300H F Sport in Ultrasonic Blue Mica or Ultra White (if such a car exists in the US)... however I could be enticed to:

1) Keep my car and pay it off
2) Wait for the next gen ES
3) Next gen UX or possibly NX if it's nice... though I am not so sure I could go back to a smaller car.

I don't think he necessarily means today, but more so when leases are up or generally. Many who leased in 2019 may be due soon at the 3 year mark.

I might have been tempted because of the addition of the touch pad infotainment system, but now that Lexus has eliminated my exterior/interior color choice, I'll remain thankful I bought a 2021 instead of waiting for a 2022 model.

They’d need to revise the padding in the F sport seats, add acoustic front glass to the F sport, and retune the transmission for me to consider it.

Lexus recently revised seat padding and retuned the transmission in the LS500 during its refresh. The ES needs the same.

In regard to seats, I took my car in for service today and have an NX300 for a loaner and the seats are very comfortable. Noticeable difference in seat padding and comfort the moment you sit down.

Yes! Exactly. Perhaps the question was meant to ask "would you consider another ES"? I am certainly happy enough that I would consider another, but I don't have enough miles on my current ES that I would be considering a replacement. I would also consider that there aren't enough differences to entice me into trading for the newer model. Keep in mind, I don't lease my vehicles so if this vehicle was a lease and I had to make some decision in the near future, I would obviously have a different opinion. If the question were meant to inquire about whether we were so excited about the new refresh that we are considering trading for that single purpose, the answer is a hard no.

I've never leased a vehicle either so that's why I responded with some surprise

Same here. My ES300h is a stepping stone to full electric vehicle. I used to trade up for a new model every 3-4 years but I got that out of system ( I think).

^that's what i told myself but then that new car smell brought me back in again. that first drive home from the dealer was exciting! lol

I miss my CT200h in a lot of ways. The $25 fill ups (smaller tank) and the rear cargo/hatch area for putting stuff.

But I still love my ES.

The danger of stepping foot in a showroom. When I bring either of our cars in for service, I poke around the showroom until the car is ready. Not good for the wallet

I do the same thing. I think it’s why my wife doesn’t like to go on service appointments with me. She doesn’t want to risk getting the bug herself...
