2021 ES 250 - Jerky Stuttering Transmission at Low speeds
#31
I don't drive enough miles to justify a hybrid. But the discussion in this and other threads has made me curious about the ES 300h. Last time my car was at the dealer I asked for a 300h loaner, but they said they don't have it in the loaner fleet. I guess i could ask for a test drive, but my curiosity hasn't reached that threshold yet.
So, I take it you've never driven an ES 300h, correct?
I've had Lexus hybrids as loaners on several occasions - still prefer the ride of the non-hybrid jerkiness and all. I may become a hybrid owner eventually anyway when the price of fuel continues to skyrocket but for now, I'll stick with the ES jerkiness Most of my daily driving is highway where the issue is minimized.

Getting close at less than 2500 miles. Couple days ago I encountered a new twist. Was driving very slowly through HOA clubhouse parking lot and took foot off accelerator as I approached exit stop sign. The car jerked so bad it felt like I had just been rear ended. Of course I am not a millionaire truck driver (inside joke).

The unfortunate part of this is that the 2013 - 2018 models that had a six speed shifted like silk. Almost imperceptible depending on the speed. Seems that Lexus is pretty good at ignoring certain issues (that would cost them money)... This and the 2019 MY Android Auto (lack of) issue...
