For the DIY foks what oil weight are you using? I scheduled oil change on my 2019 ES300h and dealer is using 0w-20. However I see a 0w-16 sticker for engine oil in the hood when I pop it open.

My '19 uses 0W20. Maybe Toyota changed it since 2018...

0w-16 as stated in manual for ES300h on my 2020 and 0w- 20 only in emergency use. When I had the 10k service done I made sure it was correct as sales department etc told me 0w-20. Service department said for the hybrid 0w-16 is what they guaranteed me they were going to use even if I didn't ask. I checked the invoice afterwards and 0w-16 was used. Lexus would not be happy if they used the wrong viscosity.

0W-16 as required for my 2019 every time. I buy it at the dealer.

I am guessing the dealer hasn't updated their website to account for the hybrid. I figure have them do the oil change as well since car is going to be in for low pressure fuel pump recall. Interesting the July Enform Vehicle Health Report didn't mention the recall until recently.

I should be doing my break in oil change this weekend. I found Mobil 1 0W-16 synthetic for $22 at Walmart. Everywhere else it's $41-$50, for any brand. I used Idemitsu for my last 2021 ES and back then it was in the $22 range. now it's $41. About doubled. Probably because it's sort of a rare oil.

I'm waiting patiently for Amazon to come out with 0W-16.

I don't know anything about 0W16 oil for our Lexus cars. Maybe for the 4 cylinder 300...but the recommended weight for a V6 ES350 is still 0W20..

Cant help you there. I’ve used nothing but TMO. I get it for $4.62 a quart. If I was out of warranty, and the TMO cost more, I would use Mobil 1 0W-16 Advanced Fuel Economy.

No need to buy expensive full synthetic oil. I buy whatever is on sale as long as it's name brand. Who knows where Toyota buys their oil. Comes out of a 55 gallon drum at the dealer.
Could be Pennzoil or a no name oil for all I know... And I'm quite sure that they buy the cheapest full synthetic they can. I'm happy to buy mine at Walmart.
