How Many Miles Do You Put On Your ES350 Per Year?
#31
Ha! We'll see. I generally don't hold on to cars for longer than 2-3 years, plus between having the occasional loaner and driving my toy in the summer sometimes that does put a small dent in the number of miles my DD will actually see; more like 30K mi. I probably would have moved on to something else this summer if not for the shortage of cars out there. I've got an itch to get something in the "executive-missile" class for what might be my last ICE-only car. I test drove two BMW M550's and loved them but weren't optioned how I would want. Also looked at the refreshed LS FSport; less of a missile but also appealing to me.
All of that's no fault of this car though. I love the comfort and isolation the ES 350 UL offers. Objectively it's darn near perfectly suited to the driving that I actually do versus what's in my head. But I'm also a life long auto enthusiast, and cars are as much a hobby for me as they are a necessary appliance. There are days I really miss that dual-edged nature of sports sedans I've had in the past...or you know, any semblance of sportiness! Again, not knocking this car, I fully knew what I was getting with it and have overall been very happy.
Oh definitely, it basically looks and drives like new. That's not really a lot of miles in the grand scheme of things, and really almost any new car on the market today should handle it with ease. I drive almost entirely on the highway which are the easiest miles a car will ever see and the ES eats them up!
