Default Minuscule Leak?

Noticed this on my 2021 350 ES. Is this a leak?. Feels like oil. So modest there’s nothing on garage floor. Car used maybe 3/8 of a quart of oil during course of a 6 month 5,000 mile oil change period. Should I consult dealership? Could it be a fluid other than oil?

That's not really a trivial amount of fluid.

To cross off the most obvious question first: Am I reading it correctly that nobody has either changed or added oil for 5,000 miles? Because the most obvious and harmless explanation would be that somebody simply slopped some oil out when filling it and it's puddled at the bottom. I doubt it, but it can't hurt to ask.

My independent mechanic discovered it and called it to my attention when he put the car up on the rack to do the first ( 5,000 mi.) oil change. He had not yet emptied out the old (factory) oil. Good question though.
I’m speculating it’s a tiny leak that has resulted in the loss of about 3/8 quart of oil 7 months, since 2/6/2021 delivery. I assume this justifies a trip to the dealership now…

That explains why you thought it was burning oil. Hopefully an easier fix now.

could be. I’ll find out when I take her in for 5.000 mile check-up. Thanks much for your thoughts.

Yeah that's a boat load of oil. Make sure it wasn't just spilled.

if it was spilled, that'd be very sloppy of the mechanic to not clean it up
