Yes, we missed the abrupt downshifting issue in our reviews prior to getting our 2019 ES 350 FSport. We have learned to go light on the accelerator coming out of slowing for yield signs and turns.
But if Lexus does ever remap these 8-speed transmissions, it would be nice if we could get this fix for the older cars.

Adaptive high beams and adaptive LED Lights for oncoming traffic approved last week for USA by the Federal Highway Department. Should begin showing up in 2023 as Lexus models go through a Refresh or update.

That's a really interesting question. I thought it would be a simple Google search, but unfortunately every search term I attempt I'm unable to produce any quality results. But I'm unable to find anything saying that's a new feature for the 2022 refresh.
The only thing I can really use to make a conclusion is based on this:

It states that the only 2 Lexus cars that have that feature are the ES and LS. Yet, this article states the RX got it back in 2019:

So unless someone else can dispute me, I'd say they might.

Considering the refresh wasn't even announced until this year, I would assume they do in fact have it. At least for the 2020 model year.

BMW actually pioneered that high beam assist tech in 2005, and it later came in the 7 Series first in the early/mid 2010s in a later more refined version which uses specific light patterns to curve around cars. Then it trickles down in the industry. usually how it works. Sometimes Mercedes too.
