I miss, I overshoot, I fail to move the cursor. It would be (and was) an absolute, 100% deal breaker for me. Without the touchscreen, I would not have bought this car. And after dealing with it as an owner, if they still had only the touchpad, on that basis alone I would not have bought this car. Just me, and I'm happy for those of you who've learned to deal with it since you had to, but off my limited experience thus far I wish they'd used the space for a change holder.
Change holder already on the left side of the wheel.

Default Minor changes on 2022 ES300hUL Matador Red-Palomino

Manufacturer Date 1/15/2022 Kentucky Pick-up Date 1/30/2022
Lexus Escondido has best selection around here.
I added cheap 3" clip on d-rings to bottom of Trunk net. This allows for large bags between net and back wall and small bags in net.
Then I cut USB cover off ( I know I know) Now with short USB for music always inserted I can close cover.
Having a Panoramic camera I Had Dealer set back Window Screen to off. Will never auto lower in Reverse.
Lowered Tire Pressure to 30lb cold for best ride. I wanted 17" rims but dealer said not available on UL. He did give me $1500.00 off MSRP and $500.00 extra for trade-in so I'm good.
I will add 235/50/18 for higher sidewalls to improve ride when these are gone.
I plan for other small mods. Will update

You can never have too many change holders.

The USB cover on the 2019 ES pops off and pops right back on. IIRC, someone said that's not the case on the 2022. You have to break it off.

So they circumvent a user-conceived solution by re-designing the lid, making it necessary to damage the part to get it to do what it should have done in the first place.

Next, Lexus will add razor blades so you can't rip it off.

A motorist in Temecula found razor blades affixed to a car door handle last week:

Yeah, you would think that if Lexus took on the project of revising something about the USB plugs that they would make it easier to use them while keeping the nice wooden door closed rather than making it harder.

Do you guys feel any vibrations from the engine when the engine is cold?

I haven't, but any piston engine can do that, especially if it had some unburned gas left in it when last shut off, or when the humidity is high or the weather especially frigid.

ADD Wireless CarPlay or move USB to center console.

ADD Heated Rear Seats to Ultra Luxery Trim

Now that they added a touch screen remove touch pad and give us two cup holders ala RX

i know I am in the minority here but I personally love the remote interface touch pad. My last car had a giant 10.2” touch screen and it showed every fingerprint and drove me crazy. My 2021 ES was a welcome change for me. I love the placement of the screen (prior to its being moved for 2022) up in the dash as well. I guess it’s just me!

I am with you on this too. Fingerprint marks drive me crazy too! I love the touch pad.

Yeah! I’m sad it’s so hated and going away but that just means I will keep my ES for years to come. Thankfully I know it’ll hold up!

I've been saying this for years. You're not in the minority as far as I'm concerned.
