There is always a pro and a con to any design but the market demands a touch screen interface at the moment so fingerprint marks be damned.

If you hate fingerprints, don't look at the new NX or BZ4X - LOL!!

I have the touchpad in my LS and really prefer the touchscreen. Mainly because I have the screen on either fuel economy or CarPlay and it's extremely helpful to touch the screen when using CarPlay and putting in destinations etc.

Since Toyota/Lexus is always "behind" on some things... no wonder they are still using glossy black plastic on interiors. That idea should have died a few years ago.

Can you use the touchscreen without leaning forward?

I can. They moved it 3-4 inches closer to the driver to make it possible. I find reaching it no problem at all.

Interesting. The touch screen in our RX requires me to lean forward. I suppose it has a lot to do with how you have your seat positioned (and how long your arms are ). But seriously, I can’t even get close without leaning so I would argue people will need to test this for themselves once they have the seat positioned properly. For the record, I am 5’8” tall - and of course comparing to a different Lexus model. Oh, and they also moved the screen closer to the driver on the RX when they added a touch screen.

I'm a bit apelike in that regard, so I may have an unfair advantage. As always, everyone should try before they buy.

Then I cut USB cover off ( I know I know) Now with short USB for music always inserted I can close cover.
I think both the USB cover and the big cover are not very useful, as I always put my phone in the holder and connect it to a small USB cable for charging and the use of Android Auto. That big cover has not been closed since I got the car. Apart from covering USB ports and phone holder, I see no use in covering a cupholder in the center console.

I also love the touchpad. It's sad that most of the car reviewers are complaining about it. Of course you have to get used to it. But after a year of driving my 2020 ES, I dare to say that the touchpad is working more fast and intuitive than the so praised iDrive controller in my previous car. With the touchpad, I can move free around the menu and randomly select items, instead of having to run sequentially through the menu items to make a choice.

I also think a touchscreen is a bit more distracting than a touchpad/iDrive controller, because you need a combination of arm control (bigger movements) and eye focussing, which is making your action just some milliseconds slower. Just my thoughts...
BTW. I saw a review of the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, The new model is equipped only with a touchscreen. The reviewer was complaining that BMW had omitted the iDrive controller You simply can't please everyone

I already put Dark2 but they still come on too early. On a rainy day they are ON all the time even if the visibility is OK.

I don’t want to drain those led’s because there is no replacement or fix, you need to buy the whole headlight.

...
If you have the headlight switch set to AUTO, the headlights will be turned on when the windshield wipers are operating. From the Owner's Manual (page 151 of the 2019 ES 350 pdf version):
◻️ Windshield wiper linked headlight illumination

When driving during daytime with the headlight switch turned to AUTO, if the windshield wipers are used, the headlights will turn on automatically after several seconds to help enhance the visibility of your vehicle.

Obviously, you'd want them to operate correctly, but you would need to have your headlights "on" TEN hours a day, EVERY DAY for TEN YEARS, to come close to the 30,000 hours that's the average life expectancy for LED headlights.

Other estimates run as high as 50,000 hours life.

So for average driver who drives 15,000 miles per year it will take about 50 years?
I guess I will pass the cost o replacement to my grand kids.
