After filling up, my range is about 300 to 310 in the summer and about 280 to 290 in the winter. I do highway, city and suburban driving, but mostly suburban.

No AC? That's crazy talk. Plus I imagine the benefit is much lower with electric compressors. My wife and I are all about comfort so we won't compromise our comfort.to improve mileage. I would think it may have more to do with the type of driving, the length of the drives (cold starts use more fuel as they have to run the internal combustion engine to warm it up each time) and so on. I would suggest anyone getting between high 30s and mid 40s on the hybrid model is right where they should expect to be. We also drive with eco mode on all the time and this definitely doesn't work for everyone. There is no question that the "normal" mode is preferred, but we don't mind the minor compromises with the eco mode. Of course, the sport mode is always available if we are want something more spirited but it has a clear impact on fuel economy.

Keep in mind this 7 gen has only a 15.9 gallon tank. Last non hybrid gen ES had a 17.2 gallon tank.

With lower fuel consumption the range is same or better while burning less gas.

The current ES300h has just 13 gallon fuel tank.

Actually the current ES hybrid has a 13.2 US gallon fuel tank.

Is that due to a change from the 2019 model year or the U.S manual is wrong?

I have never gotten below 40mpg. Most of the time 43-44mpgs. I always fill up at a 1/4 tank left. So it’s about 300 miles between fill up’s.

At 40mpg’s it should go 520 miles if you drain the tank. At 44mpg’s it should go 572 miles.

Most of my driving is freeway miles.
