Why would it be stupid? It's not an LS. The way the human ears work is that acoustic glass in the rear would have very little benefit for the passengers up front. Why else would they make an LS?

are you saying that people do not sit in the back seat of ES?

No. Im saying you don't get a free lunch.

My A8 is hopelessly big for my needs but I paid for all of that car because of its quietness.

I know the ES won't be as quiet as that but I'm on this thread because i want the quietest car I can buy for around 50K Canadian.

You get what you pay for.

My car is ultra luxury, it is $55k USD. I think it deserves rear double windows at that price.

The navigation system uses wheel revolutions and assumed/prior calibrated distance traveled per revolution to determine distance traveled in instances when a GPS signal is unavailable (e.g., tunnels). The system does have a tire change calibration function that will adjust miscalculation caused by the circumference difference between the old and new tires. (See the Navigation and Multimedia System Owner's Manual for the details - the "Tire change calibration" section located on page 106 in the 2019 pdf version.)
