Did you get the light bar? My car should be here in about 2 weeks so I'm contemplating this again.

Yup. I received it, but the installation instructions were entirely in Chinese. One of my friends translated it for me, but I'm still not sure which goes where and I haven't had time to give it a try yet. I'll probably tackle it next week sometime.
Here are the instructions I received: https://ae02.alicdn.com/kf/S1fb61a60...9042cb19d8.mp4
And here is my friend's translation

Thanks for the update. I was thinking that if I got it I would just wire it up to come on when the normal running (tail) lights are on, and I would not worry about hooking it to the turn signals or brake lights. Hmm I'm not so sure that's possible now?? I don't care about it blinking when I signal and what-not... I envision the light bar being on when the tail lights are on and that's it, like the photo I put at the very first post up top here.

In the photo the bottom-right harness is inline and plugs in. It looks like the red wire would likely be 12V battery power...?

This looks like an interesting mod. Directions and wiring in Chinese are a turn-off.
I did similar on my '16 Miata and love it but that was a simpler setup so price-wise this appears to be somewhat reasonable.

Can you try putting 12V power to the white connectors in the bottom right of the photo? Black to ground, red to power ought to light them up for a temporary look at it...?

Sorry. I don't know how to do that. I might have to take it to a local stereo shop to get it done. It's not quite as "plug and play" as I thought it would be.

Bump. Did you make any progress on this? I have now finally received my ES and am ordering more accessories finally. I ordered the FitCamX dash cam, still seriously considering this but I do have concerns about actually wiring it and how it will look once installed...

Not yet. I've been busy with work and school + the car's been at the dealership for the past week. I'll try to get to it this weekend hopefully.

The butt part of the seat heater was not working. I had to wait while they ordered new parts.

Did you ever get the chance to install it?

I still haven't had a chance to do it. I tried calling a few stereo/alarm places but didn't feel confident in their ability to install this for me. I think I'll have to do it myself.
I do have a question for anyone who might know the answer... The red wire says I'm supposed to run it to the battery. I wanted to see if anyone knew if it was okay to splice this to the power for the license plate light. This would save a lot of time since I don't have to run the wire all the way to the front of the car.
There are also two yellow wires - 1 connected to the turning signal & 1 connected to the reverse-light. I don't plan on using these because I don't really care for these functions.

The license plate light is not always illuminated so it would not be an effective power source. I would run it to the battery or at least the fuse box if I was you. I have a hybrid so my battery is in the trunk 😉

Hey man, I found an installation video on this product page, scroll down to the details of the product itself and there is a video. Maybe it will help?

That looks slick. Is someone going to do the install and post it to YouTube?
