I'm noticing a rising trend in several manufacturer's denying warranties as modding becomes more mainstream where your every day civilian is doing them. Companies using any excuse they can even if only remotely related. I can see this with all the companies penny pinching nowadays it's becoming a trend and know they have an easy out and you'll have the cost and burden of suing and they know you won't do so. So yes even though we all know certain mods shouldn't cause complete failure of certain parts, if they're near or around the area or in any way connected, the manufacturer can go wink wink yeah that's not covered.

Fortunately, for us, the Magnuson-Moss Act has already been through the court system and proved the courts will side with the vehicle owner. It’s actually against the wall for the dealers to not warranty an item just because it was a mod unless they can prove the mod caused the failure.
