Price Paid before Taxes/Fees

Funny thing was they didn't have a single new car on the lot. All used and half of the new ones coming in are reserved. They're owned by a group that also owns a few more dealerships in a few states.

Then again, my situation too was highly irregular. But I provided considerable detail and documents outlining my deal along with background information. You mentioned your deal on your first post.
If I am wrong then I will happily congratulate you and eat my words!

This is interesting! Dealer trades, per a recent TX dealer I was in touch with today stated they stopped dealer trading some time ago. Along with the fact even associates can't get below MSRP. A dealer trade AND $1500 below MSRP on a UL is very difficult to believe but only based on info i've obtained in that area. For it to be claimed that a dealer regularly marks down any ES especially now, can not be considered a widely accurate statement. I do not make a habit of questioning those that specify deals they have received. I myself have been on the receiving end of tremendous deals, even just this past January. But I had receipts to back it up. Not saying you aren't telling the truth but this would be HIGHLY irregular.

Very few, if any dealers have "plenty" of inventory. Especially when it comes to an ES. If you look at Sewell Lexus in TX. THey have 18 UL's listed but every single one is pre sold.

Your information is spot on to what I gathered 2 months ago. Sewell Fort Worth wouldn’t even sell to out of state. This one was definitely a weird purchase, found out later after I reserved it that my car was traded from my local dealer (they were selling it for MSRP), so I had to drive a few hours and wait a couple extra days to get it. Here’s a picture of my purchase agreement and stickerhttps://imgur.com/a/OLaAPvU
great deal! Weird they didn’t calculate sales tax on there?

The way the contracts and numbers are calculated often don't look like they add up so that isn't so odd. It didn't look like tax was calculated on my deal either but I figured it out and the dealer explained . But I am curious about how/where they've deducted the $1500 from the FULL MSRP of $56K that you mentioned. Could be a case of what I call creative maneuvering or something else. I won't belabour the issue. You paid what you paid and that's all that matters as long as you are happy with it! I'll leave it and say congrats nonetheless on your new ride. Enjoy!

Thanks! Just trying to be upfront here. They originally quoted me a higher price (still under MSRP), then I noticed a lower price on their website and they matched it. Here is a screenshot from their website, then I had to pay $200 shipping for the dealer trade plus $495 doc fee. They also let me paid that $4000 and change on a credit card.

How much below MSRP were folks getting Lexus vehicles that were in the price range of the F Sport for before the pandemic?
