I got this awesome deal in May 2021 for a e300h luxury at 6% dealer discount and with all the lease specials it came down to $542/mo with 0 down and all fees capitalized into the monthly payment. I now sold that car (due to weak engine for highway and stupid rattles from door that dealer couldn’t fix) and bought ES350 UL in Feb for MSRP

Man, I did the opposite. I sold my 4RX 350 to get this thing and I've found the power to be pretty adequate. It's not as refined revving high but I do not miss the 8 speed at all. The one in mine was like a lemon and it jerked a lot. Also had plenty of rattles as well.

Hybrids all s u c k. They are underpowered and their engine is anemic. The weight of the ES needs a 6 cylinder engine. Not a 4 cylinder. I would never buy a 4 cylinder Lexus. Never.

Now, Glam, different buyers have different priorities. We have a lot of people on this board who were searching for a car that places a higher priority on amazing economy and a lower priority on a quiet surge of acceleration, and they love their ES 300h's. As part of a household with an ES 350 and a Prius, I bow to Lexus' amazing technical achievement of delivering luxury car levels of everything but power in a large midsize while getting nearly Prius mileage. There's certainly room in the world for both ES flavors.

There are ways to express your opinion while still being objective and respectful to your audience. Definitive, off-handed statements can affect a person's credibility along with other negative ramifications. I am not saying this is your style but don't become one of those posters that is constantly retorting with pompous and condescending opinions. I think you are better than that.

I resisted hybrid and EV for so long and thought very lowly of them, but they just make perfect sense for my drive/commute. So I will be taking the plunge and am looking forward to a more relaxing commute. Eventually an EV may make its way into my fleet but for now I'm pretty happy I'll be getting a hybrid that's basically been perfected over the last 20yrs, combined with the luxury of a Lexus.
