Default Front facing parking camera lens cracked

I got a rock chip on the front facing parking camera on my 2019 Lexus 300h. Just a tiny crack but it sure messes with the visuals trying to park.
Questions... can just the lens be replaced ot the entire camera unit? And... can anyone direct me to a Youtube or anything else that can show me how to replace it.
My dealer wants $1,700 to replace it.

It is definitely an entire camera replacement. It is a tiny camera anyway not sure anyone would sell just the lens separately. Such a huge rip off by the dealer and Lexus though for that crappy 10 years old camera. Looks like the part itself is around $700 https://parts.lexus.com/p/Lexus__ES-...67B006070.html

I thank you for that information.... at that rate it looks like that's how it's going to stay!

I'm in the same boat. Cracked front camera and they want ~ $1700 to fix. They said $900 for part, 100 something for labor and the remainder to be for "calibration". Idk what really needs to be calibrated as I think it is just a parking assist system. Does anyone know if this really needs to be calibrated?

consumers love all these fangled tech and when they break it's a huge sticker shock to replace. Tesla's Autopilot system uses 8 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and a forward radar to read lane lines and detect nearby vehicles.

Good suggestion. Definitely check out a salvage yard for this. Probably half or less...

Nothing to calibrate. It's plug and play.

No need. Buy a used camera and install it yourself. Plug and play.

Thank you all for the tips! This is what makes this forum so great. I will certainly go the buy online and plug 'n play.

A follow-up question: is it easy to replace? Hopefully it's not something silly like taking the bumper off, etc.

I think for $1,700 I have already incorporated the crack into the view that I have. Good thing I am not overly OCD because that would drive me insane.

Do you need to take the front bumper completely off to replace that camera? What about all the wiring that's hidden behind the front bumper? Do you need to take apart all the wiring and everything behind the front bumper to replace the camera? What type of labor is involved with this particular repair? Does anyone know?
