At the end of the day I use this cheap mount:

Sure I lose a cup holder but over 99% of the time I don't need it. After a while I got use to this setup and came to really like it as view of iPhone is within easy view and reach while I am operating the vehicle. Best yet it keeps my phone charged without any issues. I like my meaty case and refuse to take it off every time to charge so wired charging is the way to go for me. I have use this setup almost 2 years now and love it.
I’ve actually used the same style just different brand of that device and I was pleasantly surprised at the sturdiness. I liked the height and adjustability. Even using it in the cup holder with the pullout plastic partition, it still maintained stability.

I have a similar but shorter model by Topgo which I really like except its non adjustable height places the phone a little too close to the shift **** when in “Park”. (I ditched an overpriced Weathertech because it would not rotate to landscape position.)

Question: Does the phone holder or stand of your Lorima a.) come close to scraping the easily scuffable dash material, or b.) interfere with your view of the infotainment screen?

Thanks. That appears to be the height I would prefer.

I just looked up that product as I've never heard of it. I think I might give that a try. Now, if I can find a way to control the dust which is made worse visually due to a black interior!

Not that you asked about this but for those that are curious, they do have much taller ones, which is the one that I have used.

That must be a newer model. I don’t recall seeing it when I purchased my Topgo. I would have preferred this one. Thanks for the link.

By the way, do you have the “mid pole” or the “long pole”. (This sounds like the script to a porno movie). They are both height adjustable. My “short pole” is not.

HaHa! Too funny! It's the long pole!
It is the one in the link. It is taller and adjustable.

pretty sure that was me who gave him the idea. (being a baby) LOL. Yeah 1Z is the only product i'll use on interior. it helps maintain oil free matte finish. it's actually a german/BMW product! BMW sells it at their dealers with their logo, rebottled. my detailer friend back in the day turned me onto it. my first impression was this smells weird.. but it grows on you and now i don't want any other smell. it smells like pine needles sort of.. distinct.

Hehe I guess you were at the right place and time to suggest it? I saw this product before but not thought much of it like a lot of other products I come across. I was looking for a new product at the time when you mentioned it so I decided to give it a try . It is a decent product. I like oil free finish so it doesn't turn area into a dust magnet. I use it on my convertible as most of time it spends its life top down.
