The Rattle Battle

I did that last night too. Pretty straight forward. I also insulated the left speaker grill.

Test drove, don't seem to hear any rattles. tried to replicate conditions that usually make it rattle.

Anybody with the sunroof creaking/poping noise when the body twists?
#19
I have not had that. Since you have a UL, do you have the panorama glass roof or normal sunroof? does the popping occur with the glass tilted up or slid back?
#20
I have normal sunroof. The popping is not related to the position of the glass.
Also, some cracking noise around the rear right door is driving me crazy, and it also comes when the body twists.

On my 2020 ES300h it has happened about 4 times in 2 years. The pop sounds like a pebble hitting the windshield but sound is coming from over my right shoulder. Have only opened sunroof once to make sure it worked. Was unsure where sound is from but will now take a close look at sunroof to see if any cracks starting.

I'm guessing it's just the interior panels rubbing against eachother or popping in their holes where they mount. knock on wood i don't have any of that. maybe have someone drive it and sit in the back to ID which piece it is then narrow your focus on that piece.
#24
I tried but nobody can identify where the noise is coming from.

if i had to guess, c pillar panel for the noise in back.
#26
Most likely is the C pillar, but sometimes it looks like it is coming from the roof.

I am not able to remove the dome light. Any pdf doc that explains that? Thanks.

oh the rear dome light? i removed it once by pulling on it, it requires a ton of force, more than i'm comfortable with. this was done on my first 7ES since i was looking for an area to tap a 12V for a rear dash cam. I forgot why i never finished the product, but it didn't end up working out. honestly avoid touching the headliner, once you fold it by mistake and crease it.. you... are... boned. there's no going back. also it's extremely easy to stain.. permanently. it's just one part of any new car i avoid even though i've done complete engine rebuilds.

I am asking about the front one, next to the rearview mirror. In the meantime I figured out how to remove it, first you need to pull the front of the console and then the back comes off.

oh yeah on all Lexuses they pull down with your fingers =) Same with my CT200h, IS/200t/300/350, and 7ES. The clips will get "soft" and weaken after a few pulls, so try not to do it too much. then a big bump will send it flying down
