Agreed.....

 

When I bought my 2019 I wanted the UL model but not the triple beam HL. I didn't want to pay the additional cost. However most, if not all UL models came with the triple HL installed so I got them anyway. Well I'm now a believer and am happy that I have them. Agree that they should be standard due to the exceptional illumination provided during night driving along with the turn lighting feature. We in America are also due for a major change in our HL that was recently approved by Congress. Adaptive driving beam headlights. Other countries have been using them for years... Coming soon to a dealer near you...

 

I had the 2019 Bi Led's and they were very adequate. I liked the cornering feature when making a turn, the lights would illuminate that area during a turn. However, I just LOVE the triple beams on my 22'. Reminds me of the Predator for some reason. HA! Someone mentioned a light show and I do enjoy that when I get the chance to see it on my wall. My 2008 BMW 535i introduced me to adaptive headlights. They are able to move the light projector to the left or right reflexively as you drive. This allowed me to clearly see the part of the road I was turning towards.

 

If you like a good light show you should get a new Audi:

 

Audi has been doing a lot with their exterior lighting for the past few years. It's interesting so see what they come up with each time.

 

I have triple beams on my ES, wife's RX has single beam. They are just fine. What I like about the trips - the dance they do on start up - it just looks cool

I have no experience with the pre-'22 headlights, but if they're much brighter than the '22s, the stop signs in my neighborhood would be vaporized.
