No more V6 in the new RX. Looks like it's bye bye V6.

Really no surprise there.

And neither will the 4 cylinder turbo in the new ES feel like the ES V6. The V6 will definitely be missed.

I miss a lot of things from my automotive past, like the relatively light vehicles with high HP of the muscle-car error. I'll also miss the V6 in wife's ES350 when we upgrade to the ES300h. However, I'm happy it happened, not sad because it is over. We simply have to accept that the world is constantly changing, and go with the flow. Otherwise, we're in for a lifetime of lament.

so yeah NA engines are inferior in this day and age. Take forever to wind out and build power etc. Unless you're talking real NA engines from Porsche or BMW (high performance ones) but you're talking about a regular old grandma V6 here that's 30 years old.
I'm not buying it. In theory, yeah. On the EPA mileage cycle, for sure, which is why they're being adopted so much. In real-world use, turbo engines like Ford's 2.0 get crap mileage because you've got to have your foot in it all the time to go anywhere. Same deal with a lot of Hondas that got switched from their J Series 3.5 V6 to their 2.0T. Oodles of complaints from RDX testers and owners about crap real-world gas mileage.

True.
I'm not convinced small capacity turbos give great economy either.
Hybrids certainly give great economy esp in congested traffic.
PHEV's bridge the gap between ICEV's to EV's even further.
Lithium ion powered EV's still have great supply issues.
Solid state EV's potentially great, but not yet in production.

Yeah, well I'm holding onto my 1998 Corvette 5.7 L. with 345 HP until the wheels fall off. Love the noise, acceleration, looks, and admiration from others... 25 Y.O in January...
And same for my 3.5L 2019 UL ES 350. Have never experienced a smoother and quieter engine in any car. Approaching 10,000 miles...

Great looking car - ES F Sport in Ultra White Just be careful with the rims. I just cracked one and had to get it welded. Didn't even hit a pot hole so not sure how it happened.
