Default Considering 2022 ES300H f Sport

Hello everyone I'm looking to buy the E300H F sport in the next 12 months. Test drove the UL trim yesterday and I like the way it rode. Dealer quoted me MSRP. I know there's car shortage is this the norm to pay MSRP? Any incentives? I wanted the white exterior and red interior. Anyone owns that combination and don't mind sharing your thought on it? Dealer gave me $5000 trade in for my 2011 mercedes e350 with 150K miles, does that sound fair? I live in houston texas. Thanks everyone

Make sure you won't get tired of that red interior. I don't think it will age well.

Should be taking delivery of an es300h f sport later this month, paying MSRP is the new norm but if you can get even $1k under that's a great deal right now . Dealerships around me are putting anywhere from a $1500-$5000 "market adjustment" price. The ES300h is a hot car right now with growing gas prices.

I thought about the red interior too but wasn't a huge fan of how it was all blended in together with the black, to me it was almost as if they wanted to commit too much to one color and didn't strike the balance as well as I think they could've. So I opted for black.

There were also no F sport models within 300miles of me so I wasn't able to test drive the F sport trim but I know I will enjoy it. I test drive both UL and base, so I figure it slots itself in the middle quite nicely. I think I'll like the stiffer suspension as well.

That trade in for your Mercedes seems a bit low. Look at the market prices around you and go off there. I will be going off KBB for my trade in. Also wouldn't hurt to stop by CarMax beforehand too.

Be aware the UL and the F Sport don't behave the same. The F Sport has less cushy seats with vinyl instead of semi-aniline leather upholstery, and less suppression of both road noise and wind noise. I don't know whether it has the same suspension -- I'll leave that one to the hybrid experts here -- but its larger 19" wheels will also give you more crashiness over potholes. Until you've test driven an F Sport, I'd say you don't have a definitive answer about whether you'll like the experience.

Negative on most of those concerns for the V6.

Kelly Blue Book for your car is $6,200. Paying MSRP today especially for a hyrid that gets 40 mpg is not bad. Is that normal no. I have always received around a 15% discount for all new and used Lexus's purchased from my local Lexus dealer. They have told me for the new model NX they are selling at MSRP. That is the bad news. The good news is that a 15% discount on a new NX would be $7,500 off but they are giving me $5,000 more for our 2017 ES h. Color choices are such a personal choice. Love the white for the exterior not crazy about the red interior but since the F makes more sense. Enjoy great car. Had a loaner and in 56 miles averaged 44 mpg.

I would absolutely recommend appraising your trade with Carvana, Vroom, and Carmax first. I've found luxury vehicles tend to get better quotes from Carmax. The quotes can vary greatly from one day to the next. You can submit quotes daily on Carvana pretty easily. Depending on the market, I've found that dealers can't match what the 3rd party vendors can. I've sold 4 vehicles in the last 2 years using this method. My ranges above dealer offers were at least $2k and as high as $8K with Carmax. Also, there is less chance for the dealer to use creative maneuvering of the financials by selling the car separately from the vehicle purchase. I recommend this especially if you aren't as savvy with the car buying process.
Paying MSRP is the norm. for most these days. Gas just shot up from $3.99 to nearly $4.50 a few days ago in my area, which isn't as bad as some parts of the US I realize. Hybrids will continue to become more popular, if for no other reason than if this trend continues. (I'm sure it will)
Shop around, get quotes, and by all means test drive the different trims thoroughly, if available. Read the forums to help give guidance, but first-hand experiences are the best IMO. You know what you like and you will find many differing opinions here so try not to get overwhelmed. Good luck!

how so? I fail to see what difference a v6 makes to the leather, the wheels or sound insulation.

Makes no difference imo precisely. 19" wheels don't crash etc. I've driven all the ES models, loaners etc.

So one dealership has one coming on 5/21 with the color combo(white/red) I wanted. Is it possible to negotiate all the details through email before going in to sign? I hate spending time at the dealership going back and forth. I looked over the spec sheet it doesn't look like it has tint. Can I add tint as part of negotiation? how much does dealer charges for tint? I don't want to make a separate trip to get it tinted at a tint shop. Can they figure out monthly payment? In the past I have always paid the car in cash but this time I want to conserve cash to buy stocks in this down market. Will my credit score have any effect on rate? or will it be a same rate for everyone? my score is in the low 800 if that matters. Thanks in advance
