Dashcam mounting location recommendations?

Since it is a one-piece unit and integrates (actually, replaces) the bezel underneath the mirror, including the replacement harness and hidden wiring, it is not noticeable at all. I haven't driven much since yesterday, but the app seems to work. I will post back if anything exceptional happens one way or the other. As of now, I would say it well worth the $170 or so...I did not buy a rear camera.

I have.
1. I don't usually go beyond the 7th Gen ES forum as tech does improve and integration can differ. However since you've mentioned it I expanded my search.
2. Can't find any real reviews with photos (day / night), 2k vs 4k, issues with overheating? Rear camera add on review.
Unless I missed those points in my search, I would forever be grateful for a a link.

A few days ago I installed the FitCamX on my 2022. I really like it so far. I also use a Cover Craft sunshade and it does end up touching the bottom of the camera housing when in place but doesn't seem to be a problem.

I am in Canada and the dealer asked me if I wanted the Lexus accessory dash cam, I declined. My intent is to email my salesperson and show him the one I got, it's superior other than it doesn't have parking mode. Not to mention it's less than half the price of the Lexus one, and mine is 4K too.

I want my cover craft to sit flush with the windshield so I modified mine. Maybe covercraft can modify their design just a tad to accommodate the fit cam since its a popular mod. and the cutout wouldn't affect non-Fitcam owners much.

Ordered a Fitcam today. I couldn't find a good way to tap into the fuse box and have the cover remain on so just decided to go this route. Not a ton of money and looks like a very easy and straightforward install.
I was impressed with a review I found on YouTube of it as well. The fact that it's 4k resolution capable already puts it ahead of my Blackvue which only records 1080p.
Can't wait for it to come in.

I ordered min on Amazon and received it within 2 days. Probably related to where the warehouse is relative to your home.

For our ES model you are looking for "Model: HD2" in case it's under Toyota models.
