Default How to love your ES350 again

Drive a rental car for 5 weeks. Including a Brand new BMW 740I (to complicated and had some quirks). The Camry and Corolla were horrible. After those my 2019 UL came back from a minor dent repair ($12,000) and driving it was like a dream.

The same situation here. I received my company car, the 2022 RAV4 hybrid. I drove it for 10 days, then I took the ES300h. The difference is mind boggling.

The longest I ever had a rental was 3.5 weeks and at least that was same model.

I brought in my ES in June for some rattles and had to drive an NX for half a day, that was a very disappointing car imo. Was very happy when my repair finished earlier than expected and didn't have to stick with the NX for a whole day.

Same thing happened even in my lowly CT200h F Sport (2015 facelift). It was in the shoppe for an accident repair and I got newer/bigger/stronger cars such as 2018 Camry, Nissan Murano, and when I got back into the Lexus, the difference was astounding. It felt silky smooth and vibrations were just non existent. But before I took my CT in for repairs, i had gotten used to it and it felt kinda old and tired. but that wasn't reality and just me being numb to the experience.

I get tired of my ES at times but have to remind myself i'm fortunate to drive such a nice car and that it is nice

I didn't realized how awful the 2014 RAV4 drove until I got my ESH. I hated driving the RAV4 after that. However since I got her the new Venza hybrid earlier this year I don't mind driving it at all. It is almost Lexus like and I am shock as to how much car we get for $35k. Adjusted for inflation the RAV4 limited cost more back in 2014. I don't get numb to driving my ESH at all because I have a Miata for fun time. LOL. Different personality and I like how they are polar opposite. They each have their own purpose.

Savagegeese did a long-term test on the Venza, and the duo couldn't say enough nice things about its livability as a daily driver.

Talk about the Camry. I have a family member who greeted the news of my new ES 350 with a proclamation that if HE were getting a new car, it'd be a '22 Camry Hybrid which is "the same car, just as good and costs a lot less money." He subsequently was forced to buy a new car and got one. (No word on how he likes it.)

Yeah, I saw the video when it was first posted. I am a subscriber and got notification turned on. The only channel I have it on. LOL.

I used to watch SG more in the old old days. Today, it's kind of pretentious, trying too hard, too serious, with a bit too much fanboyism and mansplaining.

I prefer the light hearted mat watson cars.

I wouldn't call them SG fanboyism and mansplaining. To me they are having fun and don't take themselves too seriously.

I had this bad boy rental last year and getting back in my ES was a good feeling indeed:
