What is an interesting or unusual discovery you’ve made from having an ES?

You don't... Unless there's an attachment that I don't know about ...
Update: I found this thread from a CL member who did a mod to close from inside the car.

This thread was started in the hopes of eliciting more balanced responses that included topics of interest and not just complaints. Realistically as always happens in the discovery phase of learning about our cars, there will inevitably be complaints as well. So far I think some very good points of interest have been made. Keep it going I say.

Perhaps you had an RX/NX loaner from the dealer...they will close the hatch from the fob or dash button.
G1H1 and all, be sure that the Navigation is set to allow for freeways and tollways (if you have a transponder).
The factory default is to have the setting "Avoid Tollways?" set as "Yes". You can only access the settings when
you have an actual Point B route active (whether that route includes a tollway or not). The route customizing icon
is the fourth one down below the compass/search/info icons on the left side, solid and dotted routes form a square.
Once you open this icon choose "Preferences" and change the Tollway to "No" don't want to avoid tolls.
