Same on my vehicle. Maybe it is new to mid cycle refresh top trim?

That's been an "if equipped" feature for some model types for all 7th generation ES model years. I suspect it is a F Sport model types only feature and based on 300h owner's manual feature inclusion only 2022 and later model years for the 300h F Sport model types. From the 2019 ES 350 Owner's Manual (page 111 [pdf version] page number is higher in later model years):

Horizontal adjustment (if equipped)

The position of the head restraint can be adjusted forward in 4 stages.
If the head restraint is pulled forward from the foremost position, it will return to the rearmost position.

Interesting, thanks for that info. I wonder why they'd make it an F Sport only feature as this would make any trim more comfortable. Either, it's a nice surprise.
