So C2s were just a heavily modified OnePlus 3T, and as a tinkerer, I abused it and disabled the fact it'll not let you run openpilot while it's overheated and didn't take it off of my windshield despite living in Phoenix, etc. 2 years after that it eventually gave out. But the C3's thermals are a lot better due to being fully custom in-house hardware and shouldn't experience the same issue.

I love the Mirai with Teammate (their ADAS only on "Limited" model), and with - $25K discount, it's a cheaper vehicle than the ES300H, with arguably a superior RWD architecture from the LS.
However, the drawback is that I'll be stuck in CA, and will have to deal with the H2 infrastructure.
Haha yeah, I saved a buddy from buying a $60k Model Y with the $10k FSD package, and instead bought a $50k RX with a $2k C3. He doesn't regret his decision one bit.
Correct i did the resistor mod for a couple days then returned it to stock. i wasn't comfortable being completely silent. not sure why. i was ok with it in the CT200h. Maybe because the ES is quite a bit larger.
Plus it's visible through the grill. I dunno. Maybe i'll take another crack at it. I wouldn't mind the sound if it was like 85% lower. but i also am not sure if I like it completely silent.
So just one last openpilot post since I said I'd post about it earlier, but anything past this feel free to either start a thread or PM me directly. I've been using it for 3 years, am pretty involved with the community, and have been developing my own personal fork for over a year now, so I'm pretty knowledgeable on the subject.

So honestly in my opinion it's not distracting at all, so if that's a concern for you, I'd say it's a non-issue.
