Default Lexus Seat Extender

I recently bought a 2023 Lexus 300H Luxury package and it has the seat extender. Extending the base of the seat out several inches. I guess I am at a loss for the purpose of this. What am I missing here. Is it more for taller people as I am 5'10? Just curious love the car though! So happy with the 44 mpg and the tech is great!

It's extra support for people that have girly thighs.

I am 6’2, long legs, and the seat extender is fantastic!

I guess it's for those with long legs or over 6' tall. I'm also 5'10" and tried it once and didn't like it so never used it again... I actually don't remember how to activate it. LOL

I had a similar option on a prior car and never used it.

It's one more adjustment for comfort and seat pressure points. The more time you spend in the seat on a trip, the more useful these little touches can be.

I'm 5'5' 130lbs and I love it! I've fine-tuned my seat so I just sit down and I'm perfectly lined up. No need to stretch my legs or anything. It places my feet exactly where they need to be and makes it ridiculously comfortable for long drives.

I'm 6' with a 32" inseam. I have it on our Avalon Hybrid and now on the 300h. I love it!

It is nice to use (when I remember) on a long drive with the cruise on - gives your legs some more support and comfort. Personal preference, again, is key here - not for everyone, but nice to have.

On our ES's the optional seat extender and standard lumbar support are not memorized in
the 1/2/3 Memory position system. Best Lexus seats ever were the GS Luxury or F-Sport
driver's seat. Not only the extender but lumbar And pelvic thrusters, recliner And mid back bend,
side bolsters And bottom side wings...and they all registered in the memory system!

I miss my LS430 seats where the whole bottom seat cushion would extend or retract instead of a “shelf” at the end like the current version.

On my 2020 ES300h UL the seat extender and other settings are memorized in the settings as both my wife and I use the car.

We have this in our 2023 ES300h Luxury and absolutely love it. I am under 6'. We also have a 2016 Avalon Hybrid which had the most comfortable drivers seat. This Lexus with the extender really helps on short and long trips. I now need to have ventilated seat and seat extender on any new vehicle going forward
