Default Introduction

Hi All,

My name is AJ, and I just recently bought my 3rd Lexus, a 2019 Lexus ES350 F-Sport.

Previously, I leased a 2014 IS F-Sport and bought a 2014 ES 350.

Here's a picture of my newest:

Looking forward to lurking here and learning.

I always liked the black on white - that grill really pops in contrast. Are those windows tinted?

I originally wanted white, but got black cause I got a good deal on it and honestly had a hard time finding white with a black interior with all the options I wanted. But anyways, was really excited for a white one for this very reason. Swap out the shark fin for a black one, black spoiler, and black out the chrome around the windows... Would have been a really nice contrast effect.

Here's a crappy 2 minute photoshop job of what I had in mind using OP's photo.

One thing I don't like is that the grill surround trim is dark chrome and the window trim is regular chrome. I probably won't go full black chrome on the window, but I want it to match the grill trim. Then some tint, and we'll call it a day

Either this is MikeMu's car or this is an alt account. what did you do with him?

As for the blacked out stuff I can only tolerate it if it's:

1) on a white car (which this is)
2) it's tastefully and properly and adult-ly done using very high quality gloss black
3) only if the complete roof and gutter strips are done a la CT200h F Sport or other factory F Sports.

I'd leave the door handles alone... a bit too far and highlights the door handles too much.

Yeah when I was planning on doing it I was gonna leave the door handles alone, but as I was photoshopping it looked off. But I think it would look great if it matched the black half of the side mirrors. Pretty much give it an "OEM" look like how the 2 tone Camrys are.
