It had only about 20,000km (12K miles) on when I got rid of it too, it was not even high mileage.

Just garbage quality overall. Got tired of needing service a month or two after being "fixed" for something else. 1980's Yugos had less problems.
Jesus Christ! They literally changed half of the parts of the entire car 🤨

Sounds like it would have been a candidate for a Lemon Law replacement.

long time ago, bought a 98 528i/5 used at around 36k miles with extended warranty

coulle suspension issues, rattles, window regulator. Owned it maybe one year. Not terrible but annoying and compared to Lexus unacceptable. Plus I watched the forums and other problems people had.

I know right?

peolle who say this aren’t car guys. Engine problems are rare on a gas car these days, it’s all the other crap to worry about like window motors and suspension and electronics

that said after a few years of development I imagine a Lexus EV could be even more reliable than a Lexus gas car of similar design

I consider myself as a heavy driver and been driving non stop to work (even during the pandemic) ever since I bought my car in May 2019. I am about to hit 100 000 KM (62K miles) with also 0 problem so far (I am pretty sharp with my oil changes and services). That is next level driving !

Barely broken in at 62K. Was chatting with a buddy of mine yesterday who just hit 275K on a 4Runner. Original trans fluid still in there by the way to those that preach it must be changed.
