This is a love letter from Savagegeese. He just named this the best car in its class, and now he's reviewed the 7th gen ES for the third time in five years.

The smoking tire also said that this is the quietest car except for the Rolls-Royce line or electric cars.

I hear quite a bit of wind noise in my F sport, so maybe the ultra luxury or the luxury version is quiet. Now it’s not wind seeping through like a bad seal it’s just the sound of wind being heard through the glass. In the car overall is much quieter than my Honda accord but it’s not so quiet I’m gonna fall asleep…lol

Luxury/Ultra Luxury have acoustic laminated windows which make a huge difference in wind noise.

And yes the ES is nearly identical. i have all the diagrams, blueprints, etc. and have studied this extremely deeply and extremely intensely. I am the main highlighter of the differences, mostly subtle.

All the switchgear, controls, schematics, etc? they're identical. intrusion measurements in all the various crashes? identical. I've got the BIW schematics as well. All the spot welds, layering, grades--all identical. They're a LOT closer than you think. i believe even the track is identical. track and/or width.

Are there differences? yes. differences i won't even explain to you because i worked hard to find them. differences you couldn't even (and won't even) describe and can ever describe unless you knew specifically what to look for. So don't assume when I post stuff like this i do it lightly.

I even know a secret about the ES that no one's ever mentioned and i won't! there's one model year that has a very specific engineering change that's very interesting. that's how closely i looked at this stuff!
That's very interesting. I would loveto find out the engineering mysteries behind the schematics on the ES.
