Default Seat sensors not working on my 2023

I’ve read other posts where people say the dual zone climate control sometimes lights up a temperature for the passenger seat even when a person isn’t sitting there, and my car does this sometimes. It’s like it thinks a person is sitting in front passenger seat when there isn’t. Annoying.

Just today I had a new more annoying issue. I had two people in the back and the seatbelt alarm for the middle back seat kept buzzing even thought they were in the side back seats and buckled in. The car thought someone was sitting unbuckled in the middle rear, it was buzzing and also illumining in red the middle rear seat on my dash, and alarm wouldn’t stop until they snapped the middle seatbelt buckle in.

My car isn’t even two months old!

You need to have Concierge option turned on for the heaters/coolers to work automatically and detect the occupant. It will turn it on if you put a purse/bag on the pass. seat.
For the back seat you don't have the occupant sensors.

Have the dealer disable "rear seatbelt reminder."
I had all five reminders turned off.

Doesn't the rear seat sensor also act up if you open and close a rear door, like putting a package back there or something? I thought I understood that to tell the car that someone is back there until the car resets by being shut off and then restarting. I believe that is the way a lot of these systems work - rather than actual pressure sensor in the seats it judges occupancy by whether or not a rear door was opened and then assumes it was a person or pet.

Rear seats do not have occupancy sensors. If someone first buckles into the middle buckle and then un bucles, the system will buzz thinkin that the kids unbuckled in the middle of the ride. I actually really like the seat belt reminders features in the back and front. Saves me from asking the kids and others to buckle up. It gets annoying that they will buckle up...

I'm wondering if there's no sensors back there - one time, I had a rear passenger who buckled in and also placed a suitcase on the seat. The buzzer wouldn't stop. I stopped the car, placed the suitcase in the trunk and it stopped.

that’s not it. The problem is intermittent.

I think it also has something to do with opening the rear door first.
